Dee White & Kylie Frey bring two distinctive voices in American country music together for a special run of shows in Ireland — pairing deep Southern roots, formidable songwriting and a shared commitment to country music that puts the song and the story first.

Hailing from the small Alabama community of Slapout, Dee White has built his career around a deep respect for the music that came before him. Drawing inspiration from Hank Williams, Gene Watson, John Anderson, Vern Gosdin and Charlie Rich, White combines classic-country sensibility with an unmistakably contemporary voice.

His debut album, Southern Gentleman, was produced by Dan Auerbach and David Ferguson and featured contributions from Alison Krauss and Ashley McBryde. He went on to tour with Alan Jackson and Alison Krauss, before returning with his acclaimed second album, Heart Talkin’, produced by Grammy-winning country music veteran Tony Brown.

White has made multiple appearances on the Grand Ole Opry, performed at AmericanaFest and Nashville’s Bluebird Café, and developed a loyal following through his live shows and Nashville residency. His connection with Ireland has also begun finding its way into the music itself: his 2026 single “Green River Rye” was reimagined in an Irish folk version featuring musicians he met during his first visit to Belfast.

Louisiana-born Kylie Frey brings an equally distinctive story to the stage. Raised in a rodeo family in Opelousas, she grew up competing in goat tying and barrel racing while singing the National Anthem at rodeos from the age of six. That combination of Western culture, independence and music would eventually become central to her own brand of neo-traditional country.

Frey has scored an impressive 13 No. 1 singles on Texas country radio, made her Grand Ole Opry debut in 2023, reached the semi-finals of NBC’s America’s Got Talent and was named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country. She has toured with artists including Cody Johnson, Casey Donahew and Randall King, establishing herself as a powerful live performer as well as a songwriter.

Her latest EP, Half A Mind, reflects a more personal chapter of her writing, drawing together her Louisiana and rodeo roots with family, motherhood and the experiences that have shaped her life on and off the road. In 2026 her songwriting reached another milestone when Reba McEntire recorded “One Night in Tulsa,” co-written by Frey with Neal Coty and Thom McHugh.

Together, Dee White and Kylie Frey represent two compelling sides of modern country music: artists firmly connected to its traditions but creating careers very much their own. From Alabama and Louisiana to Nashville, Texas and the Grand Ole Opry, they bring a night of songs, stories and authentic American country music to Irish audiences.
